We are hiring Indigenous Education Support Workers!
The Indigenous Student Support Worker plays an important role in supporting the academic, social, emotional, and cultural success of Indigenous students. Working collaboratively with school staff, counsellors, administrators, and families, the role focuses on implementing programs that foster cultural pride, educational engagement, and overall student well‑being.
Responsibilities include direct student support through one‑on‑one or small‑group interactions, monitoring student progress, advocating for vulnerable learners, and contributing to school-based planning. This position also strengthens cultural connections within the school community by acting as a liaison for Indigenous resources, supporting self-identification processes, and participating in cultural initiatives and activities. With a strong foundation in Indigenous culture, effective communication skills, and experience working with Indigenous students and families, the Indigenous Student Support Worker serves as a positive role model and key contributor to student achievement and cultural awareness.
