The development and implementation of a District Strategic Plan is a key component in the District’s commitment to improving the learning and working environment of students and staff, as well as a recommendation in the Watson Report. The strategic planning process has been in motion in our District since February 2017 with the support of the Public Consulting Group (PCG) consulting firm.
School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) Strategic Plan focuses on three major goals:
- Students First
- Organizational Efficiency
- Culture of Health and Wellness
Work on various aspects of the Strategic Plan continues. Committees and working groups will be formed as needed, starting with a Communication Committee to advise the roll out and sharing of the Strategic Plan to all stakeholder groups, as well as to address specific aspects of the Strategic Plan itself.
We encourage all stakeholders to look for opportunities to further engage with the Strategic Plan and to support its work as we move forward with its implementation.
