Me To We – Student Team Recognized

Congratulations to School District 83 Me to We Team who were recognized at the recent British Columbia Me to We event in Vancouver as Volunteer(s) of the year.  This was the first time the award has gone to a group.  However our team was recognized for their collective work as volunteers raising over $130,000 for ‘others’ both around the world and locally.  The team has supported building new schools and water wells in Kenya, Ecuador and more while supporting local projects such as Food Banks, and the SPCA.

Here Rhys Middleton and Richard Jurasek are on stage at Rogers Arena in Vancouver to accept the award on behalf of the entire Me to We Team.

Special thanks to Wendy Woodhurst and Will Fazan for their decade long support of the team and to the many district teachers and staff who support school teams and student initiatives.
