Bev Pearson, a long time employee in SD83’s Human Resources department, sponsors this scholarship in memory of her husband Doug, the former Superintendent of Schools in SD83. The two shared a love of music and were strong supporters of SD83’s music program.
Criteria:
To a SD83 graduating student who will be pursuing a Teaching Degree with a focus on Music Education. If there are no graduating students who meet the above criteria the V.P. of Music and District Scholarship Committee may choose a graduating student who will be attending specialized training in: Instrumental Music Performance or related fields (examples: Conducting, Sound Engineering, Musical Theatre, Composition).
