Last week was quite a milestone for one of our staff members.
Jamieson Jones has been Parkview’s chief custodian over the past few years including through the trying times of Parkview students being re-homed in other elementary schools while the school was being fixed, and during COVID.
This week his oldest child started kindergarten while Jamieson started university! Jamieson is attending Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops to become an elementary teacher.
Parkview Principal Carla Schneider comments they will miss Jamieson as not only did he do a great job on custodial, he also volunteered his time to read with students, as well as played basketball with them.
Jamieson will remain on SD83’s on call custodial list. Best wishes!
