For anyone who received a text message from SD83 earlier today please don’t worry. SD83 has NOT been hacked (thank you to all who alerted us). The message was sent in error.
For those who choose, SD83 plans to use text messaging as another way to communicate with our parents, starting in September 2022.
Unfortunately, as our IT staff started to prepare all the pieces necessary to activate this tool and train our staff, an opt-in invitation text message was sent to you prematurely.
The plan was to first communicate with all SD83 schools and contacts before the invite was sent out. If you answered the text and signed up you are ahead of the game! For those who thought it was a scam and deleted it, don’t worry. Later this month all of the information and another invite will be sent out.
