Sorrento Elementary is dealing with a number of COVID positive cases, reports Superintendent of Schools Donna Kriger. “SD83 is working closely with Interior Health, who is providing recommendations and guidance.”
At this time two classrooms at Sorrento are self-isolating until Oct 12, when they can return to school, as long as the adults and children are asymptomatic.
Kriger extends her thanks to Principal Jodi Garries and the staff at Sorrento Elementary for all of their efforts during this challenging time, and to Interior Health for all of its help.
She asks that everyone in all of our school communities please use all the layers of protection available against COVID-19 so that they stay healthy and safe.
