Stations in – fountains out!

Every school in SD83 now has at least one water bottle filling station for students to use.

Last year, as part of SD83’s lead mitigation plan, SD83 started to replace some of the water fountains in our schools with water bottle filling stations. This turned out to be very good timing with the onset of COVID-19 and the decision was made, and funding approved, to ensure that there is at least one station in each school.

A team of SD83 staff, plumber Brayden King (left), electricians Marcus Wheeler (right) and Cam Wheeler, and carpenter Mike Capstick were very busy over the last months installing the stations across the district.
