Morgan Mills won Female Athlete of the Year at the Vernon AAA Track & Field Awards Night on Monday, Sept. 30.
Morgan, who is a student at Pleasant Valley Secondary School in Armstrong, has been a Vernon AAA Track and Field Club (VAAA) member for six years.
She is currently coached by Ian Cameron, a retired teacher and coach from PVSS, and who is also a VAAA coach and a Legion coach.
This is the fourth year in a row that this award was earned by a SD83 student, and all were coached by Ian Cameron. In 2016 & 17 the award was won by Trinity Hansma, in 2018 it was Jaeda Ostoforoff and, of course, Morgan Mills in 2019. Quite the tradition!
